Construction

Our staff works with the customer to design the ideal case for the specific equipment to be protected, keeping in mind: weight, size, sensitivity, value, where it will be stored, how it will be shipped, etc. On Hafer ATA cases, all edging, corners, clamps, latches, handles and hinges are machine riveted to ensure maximum strength and durability. All fixed interior foam is spray glue coated (as opposed to spot gluing) to ensure it does not come loose in the field.

The damaged case on the right took a lickin' but could not keep on tickin'. That's because the manufacturer used fast, cheap, inferior construction methods and materials. The metal corner angle used in the damaged case is referred to in the industry as double, or Christmas tree angle. It is merely slipped over the edge of the case wall and glued in place. Note that there are no rivets in the corner angle. This method is faster and cheaper, but leaves the case with no integrity and no ability to stand up to the abuses of the real world. When comparing prices from different manufacturers, be sure to compare the quality of construction as well.

And remember... Your Equipment Is Much Safer When It's Sittin' In A Hafer
